  • How does the check-in process work? Please send your dancer(s) with one (1) Parent / Guardian to either check-in table (please proceed to the table with the shortest line).  Dancers should arrive in their performance makeup and hair and in their first costume. TDM Staff will escort your dancer(s) to his/her appropriate dressing room. Note: Dressing rooms will remain closed / secure for the duration of each show.  For security purposes, dancers are not allowed to leave their assigned rooms.  Upon the conclusion of the show, parents will be able to enter the rooms and check-out their dancer(s).

    • Mini & Me Dancers can remain with their parents in the audience prior to and after their performance.

    • Backstage Dressing Rooms:

      • Preschool Room: Located backstage, this room will be supervised by TDM Employees and Older Dancers. Entertainment such as coloring books and G-rated movies will be provided. All preschool dancers will be escorted to their room by TDM Volunteers.

      • Recreational Room: Located outside of the main Auditorium doors, this large room will be used for all other recreational dancers.

      • Competitive Team Room: Located near the backstage entrance, this room will be utilized for all Squad and Company dancers.

  • What should my dancer pack? If your dancer is in more than one number, it is helpful to bring everything you need in a small suitcase, laundry basket or plastic bin. This way, your dancer can keep all your things in one place. Make sure to label all items with your dancer’s name.  We recommend the following:

    ·       Dance SHOES –  Make sure all performance shoes are packed such as ballet, tap, hip hop sneakers, etc

    ·       All TIGHTS that have been provided for you with your costume (if possible, we suggest bringing a spare pair of tights)

    ·       Arrive in your first costume with your hair and makeup done with all other COSTUMES in bags

    ·       All ACCESSORIES (hat, gloves, hairpieces, props, Company / Squad earrings, etc.) - please keep accessories with the matching costume

    ·       NO JEWELRY unless it’s part of the costume.

    ·       PERFORMANCE/MAKEUP KIT with makeup, band-aids, hair ties, hairspray, brush, tissues, safety pins, bobby pins, etc. Makeup Kit to include – blush, lipstick and eyeshadow.

    ·       Wear a button-down or zip-up SWEATSHIRT over your costume. This way your dancer will not ruin his/her hair or makeup.

    ·       NO UNDERWEAR underneath your costume – that’s what tights (or a leotard) are for. Undergarments for older dancers are approved as long as they cannot be seen.

    ·       NO BRIGHT NAIL POLISH on your fingers or toes.

    ·       Bring a spill-proof Water Bottle (No Juice or Soda or any drinks with an open top)

    ·       Healthy, nut-free snacks that won’t stain or melt.

    ·       NO VALUABLES as things can get lost in the shuffle of the day.

  • What should I expect during the show? Well that’s easy - to be blown away by our talented dancers! The Erie Auditorium doors will open 30 minutes prior to the show, and TDM Staff will verify your tickets prior to entering the auditorium.  We recommend bringing a copy of your physical tickets and/or a screen shot of all tickets as the WIFI service is often spotty inside the building. Allow ample time to find your seat, and ensure your party is seated no later than 5 mintures prior to the start of the show with all phones turned to silent, and all other electronics powered off. Flash photography and lighted tablet screens are not allowed for the safety of our dancers. All hallways, aisles, and auditorium door entrances must be kept clear, and we ask that all spectators stay seated for the duration of the show. Enjoy!

  • Where should I enter Erie High School? You will enter through the doors closest to the Auditorium - not the main high school doors. These doors are to the west of the main doors. Please park in the main parking lot and look for the signs on the doors.
