It provides grace, poise, and technique needed to be proficient in all other areas of dance. Ballet classes will help dancers with posture, flexibility, fitness, strength, body placement, balance, self-discipline, and self-confidence.  All ballet classes start with a complete barre warm-up, body placement / alignment and stretch.  Adage and allegro movements and combinations will take place in every class following barre work.  Pointe work will be incorporated for higher-level classes, based on dancer’s ability. Ballet classes require proper ballet attire (any color leotard and pink tights), ballet shoes and hair must be pulled back in a bun or low-pony (if hair is too short to put into a bun). Contemporary Curriculum

Contemporary dance is a deeply expressive yet highly demanding genre that requires a unique blend of technical precision and physical maturity. The core technique focuses on elements like fall and recovery, floor work, complex weight shifts, spatial awareness, and fluid body lines. Because contemporary movement frequently relies on dynamic drops, joint articulation, and core stability, strict age restrictions are essential to protect the safety of our dancers. Placing students according to their physical development prevents injury to growing bones, muscles, and developing joints. Additionally, these guidelines preserve the artistic and intellectual integrity of the curriculum, allowing our expert faculty to safely introduce complex movement concepts and choreography that match the emotional and physical readiness of each dancer.

Because these movements require high levels of muscular control and skeletal maturity, age and experience restrictions are essential to the safety of our dancers. Placing students in classes tailored to their exact physical development prevents injury to growing joints and muscles.
